I was born in Grapevine, Tx. I am so blessed to have been raised in a Godly family! My dad has been a Pastor of Worship since long before I was born and my mom worked in Children’s Ministry. Needless to say, I grew up in church and quickly learned all the things you were supposed to do.
In 11th grade, God decided to shake up my world and the plans I had for myself! He had bigger plans! The day school let out for Christmas break in 11th grade, God moved my family from Texas and all we had ever known, to a new church in Birmingham, Alabama. In hindsight it was in those 8 years that God grew me the most! My relationship with Jesus grew by leaps and bounds. He called me to ministry and developed in my heart a passion for worship and students, and then blessed me with opportunities for seven years to travel and lead with and learn from some amazing worship leaders. These men invested in me and taught me how to lead others. I learned about discipleship in this time, and it has become the very foundation and heartbeat of my ministry. It was also during this time that God allowed me to meet Mary Lauren, my amazing wife and ministry partner! We are both so excited about the opportunity to serve alongside and grow with this body! We look forward, with great expectation, to what God is going to do here at Castle Hills!
Position: College Minister

In 2007, I started at Castle Hills First Baptist Church as a part-time Graphic Designer. I then became a full-time Graphic Designer only by God's provision. I later became Art Director for the church while volunteering in the College Ministry. In 2011, God had bigger plans for me in the College Ministry by giving me the opportunity to take the role of College Minister...I gladly accepted. The past 6 years have been an awesome ride and I'm amazed how God has taken care my family and I through every step of it. I am so blessed with my beautiful wife, my 4 year old son and a 15 month old daughter. I thank God for putting me in a postion to show Christ to others and I'm excited to see where the Lord takes me in the future.
Position: Senior Adult Pastor

I retired from the Air Force in 1999 after 30 years of service and the Lord led us back to Texas, to San Antonio, and to Castle Hills FBC, where I soon began serving as an active Deacon. In Spring 2001, I began leading the Sr. Adult Choir (the Glory Land Singers). In the Spring of 2004, the Minister to Sr. Adults, Ben Walker, retired, and I was asked to come on the staff part-time to fill his position, since I had a good relationship with many of the Sr. Adults. God has continued to open doors and we just walk through them! I have never been more fulfilled in serving Him as I am by serving on the staff here at CHFBC. We both look forward to whatever ways He may have for us to serve Him in the future.

Postition: Superintendent of Schools
Email Address: email@example.com
At the age of 21, while serving as the college pastor of a church, God called Michael to Christian education through the influence of the church’s Christian school. Upon finishing his undergraduate degree in Education at the University of Texas and a master’s degree in Educational Administration at Pensacola Christian College, he has spent 28 years in two Christian schools as Superintendent and Executive Pastor. He is not only the new Superintendent of Schools at Castle Hills, but serves as the Pastor of Vision and Strategic Planning. “This is the best job I have ever had, at the best place I’ve ever been, with the greatest people I’ve ever known!”
Position: Preschool/Daycare Director

I went to Sunday school and church as a young child. At 11 years old I "clearly heard" a sermon designed for me that convicted me that I was lost and needed a Savior. I was baptized and continued to attend church with my Mother until I got married. My husband had also been raised in a Baptist Church, made a profession of faith and was baptized at an early age. Although we attended church through the years, our level of commitment to Christ was not growing, as it should have. Yet, GOD is a GOD of mercy and drew us to a Lay Mission in 1974 and we discovered the void. We realized Jesus was not really LORD of every aspect of our lives and then recommitted our lives to JESUS as LORD of ALL. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!
I have always loved little children and wanted the best for each one. I had volunteered in the church nursery often and shortly after the Lay Mission I was asked to become the church nursery director. GOD was truly beginning a new work in my life. I could not birth more children forever and HE was giving me the opportunity to love little children over and over again. After three years as church nursery director, I was asked to become the full time Preschool Director. There were many similarities to the church nursery work, but also vast differences in terms of standards and legalities. We all know no rose is without it's thorns, but I have been the recipient of more blessings than I could every count throughout my service of 32 years, now serving in my fourth preschool ministry.
